I'm about 29.7 on avg since I bought it. I have about 6800 miles. I drive 80+ miles daily on the fwy, and I'll gun it on occasion. Most of the time on the freeway I don't have sport on and VSC/TRAC off.

The first few tanks after I got it I was getting like 25.5. Couldn't control myself.

Seriously? Either people never heard of doing it, or they do it correctly, it isn't rocket science. In the case of a service manager at Honda...he never heard of calculating it yourself(yes, a service MANAGER). I never went back.

2500 miles and I have ~27.3 on MT. Definitely not conservative (shift at 4-5k) and often go 65-75mph on highway stretches. I'd say my driving is 50/50 split for city/hwy.

I'm getting 31mpg pretty consistently. I drive pretty easy on it as I just hit 1,000 miles today.

Reset the mpg so it starts logging it fresh. Turn on the economy driving settings, so that the car will tell you when to shift, if you stop driving it like you stole it it really helps save gas. I'm not saying you are driving it crazy, but I definitely was until I did this this week. I went from 23mpg in mixed driving to 28mixed and 34hwy. It's not as fun, but it'll save you a little dough.

I dont really know how to reset it. I assume that resetting the trip meter will reset the AVG MPG counter? I think its based on Trip A or something.

Also, how do you turn the economy driving settings on. I guess I should read the manual?

Right now, just breaking the car in. Have gone past 4k a couple of times but I usually shift up after that.

To reset just hold down the display button when you're on the avg mpg page.

something isn't right with your car.....it sounds like an automatic, but unless you drive VERY hard it should be much better....especially on the freeway...

My 6speed FRS gets low 30's on the freeway, and I drive fast...75-85 typically....I have just over 2k miles and my overall average is nearly 28mpg with lots of city driving

I did drive mine at a Drivers Education event for about 10 lap (30 miles)...it got an indicated 7.7mpg on track.....

The computer says 24.8 on my car. I am still on my first tank so I have not had a chance to check it by hand.

Ok last night just for fun I went on about a 40mile freeway trip. I reset the average mpg indicator I was careful barely using the accelerator used cruise control most of the time and averaged about 26 according to the in dash computer. A first! Seriously ive driven plenty cars, most I drove harder than my frs. Something isn't right. I just dont know where start. Yesterday when I came to a stop the RPM's dropped lower than normal almost like I dropped the clutch. The engine would cough and then the RPM's would rise again. It did it three times. If I tryed to drive off from the stop normally the engine acted flooded. Is this something to do with the high pressure fuel pump? I don't have this issue when I drive the car harder than normal.
