I'm ordering a Scion FR-S through a local Toyota dealership since the closest Scion dealership is 8 hours away. I decided on the Firestorm MT. I want the car for early spring 2013 and wondering if i'm ordering it too early? Not a big deal really if I get it earlier just would prefer having it after winter since we can get harsh winters. Plus it would give me a chance to break it in nicely, enjoy it and prep it for next winter.

Should I place a deposit soon or would I be safe to do so in say January?

If you order now, expect endless pestering from the dealer. They want to close deals quickly. I would wait until you're ready.

Congratz! I got lucky too and snagged my Firestorm MT right after some guy bailed on his deal and took his deposit back. Drove it home same day :happy0180:

Ordered in April

Ordered my black, manual frs in mid-April and my most recent update---- "Going to be built in September". Why must it take so long?

Apparently they were able to make the switch... I'll believe it when I see it on the lot.
Ughhhh, I'm so sorry to hear that I feel badly since I recommended them. I really hope they switch for you. Im sorry

Some guy bailed on an FRS from the 1st US allocation. Hopped on my bicycle and sealed the deal with less than 10 miles on the odometer.

Think the salesmen got a kick out of me rolling in on a bike.
