Out the door cost was $28,700 for me, I paid in cash so no monthly payments for me.
Insurance is $237.06/mo, not bad for 20 y/o, one major accident, with $100k/300k coverage and $1000 deductible, and on my own policy. Once I turn 21 I'll no longer be considered an inexperienced driver and my agent said my insurance should drop to about $125 or so a month, and possibly the accident will fall off my record and reduce it some more, however I'm dubious of this. Compared to my sister (24 y/o, pays $560/mo for barebones insurance on her 08 rabbit), I think I'm getting a pretty damn good deal. Then again, I don't have three tickets and three accidents on my record. |

I bought a Premium BRZ with
Popular Package #1a: $423.00 Spoiler White: 567.00 both of which I didnt actually want. I was sick of waiting and the one I wanted was sold while I was stuck in traffic being 1hr late... Anyways mine was $32,150 before tax and etc. I did 15k down and my payments were $435.00 for 60 months at 1.74APR... I thought wtf? Then noticed the fucking dealer added maintenance and extended warranty.... maintenance is 990 or something and extended warranty 5yr 100k (I drive a lot) was 3200 or something near that... I was royally fucked by the dealer and they wouldnt let me buy the car without it. I was sick of waiting so I said fuck it I will drive it hard and the warranty better fix over 3k of damage for me. I found out the numbers were weird when I had the sales guy give me numbers but he said I could add or remove stuff when I go to finance to finish up. Finance then told me I have to get them and said "oh we add it because we want to make sure you are covered down the road" The markup in CA is bad enough but forcing you to buy overpriced extended warranty and maintenance is ridiculous. After 200mi of hard driving I took it to Ortega and drove it hard... Yes I gave it a hard break in.. and I was really satisfied... the price didnt bother me anymore. |

So, I guess no one really got the car below MSRP
![]() As far as the warranty goes, the dealership sort of did the same thing, except they just deducted how much it costs for the extended warranty from the MSRP of the car, so when I signed all the paper work, I got the extended warranty, but did not pay any extra. The part that sucked was getting a low interest rate. I got the 2.9% from the dealership. My previous interest rate on my 2010 Cobalt SS/TC was 0% for 60 months. As far as insurance goes, I pay less than $50 a month for full coverage on my car alone. 27 years old with 1 accident and speeding ticket, which was over 5 years ago, married, multi-car and house discount ![]() Remember fellas, insurance rates will vary not only according to previous history records and age, but as well as location

I got it below MSRP, but mine was essentially a demo car - arrived to pick it up and it had ~1000 miles on it. I negotiated them down below MSRP after that as a demo car. I think my final sale price on car was $1000 below MSRP ($1 a mile as a demo).

sell it private party. save yourself THOUSANDS of dollars. edit: also, I had the first white BRZ in the country, and still managed to get $400 under MSRP, no additional options. I put down 6k, OTD was around 31k after TTL (tax in WA is a BITCH) and payments are $447.
