When you have a helper spring and change ride height you're not changing preload.

Helper springs are not there to aid in ride height adjustments.
There is a difference between between Assist and Helper springs.
Helper springs typically have a very low spring rate, which will collapse when the car is at its static state.
Cars used primarily for motorsports will benefit from these due to increased rebound stroke.
Assist springs usually have a higher spring rate, and can be found in both progressive and linear rates.

The dampers are threaded so that ride height can be adjusted without sacrificing piston stroke, and so that you have more range of adjustment.

Hope that helps.

When will these coils be available?
The second revised version should be arriving soon for final testing.
STANCE wants to make sure that the final product is 100% without any details over looked.
Factory shocks are already very short with limited suspension travel.
STANCE did not want to result to just shortening the dampers to accommodate the people that want to "slam" the cars, which would severely decrease the amount of travel, which would in turn hinder the performance and ride quality.

We also noticed that lowering the car after a certain point requires some attention to the sway bar endlinks.

Off topic....kinda.
This is another reason why after talking to SWIFT Racing springs - they are taking a bit more time to release the springs due to R&D and testing. FR-S does not have progressive bump stops like most subarus have, so bottoming out would be very harsh on these cars - another reason why you won't find SWIFT lowering springs going very low.

So in short these are the bomb? I think fortune auto does have available swift springs for the coilovers offered to the FRS and also offer a rear helper spring, how would this help and why only on rear? Why are most including these coilovers linear and not digressive like fortune auto. The digressive characteristic seems to be a positive one when driving over big bumps and holes in the street or track. Just wanted to get opinions and facts from the pros before making a selection in coilovers.

Stance makes amazing coilover and suspension systems. While they are popular amongst the hellaflush/stance crowd, there are numerous people in all forms of motor sports who are running Stance products and getting consistent podium finishes.

Not too sure about grip and time attack but my close friend, Forrest Wang runs Stance XR and Stance 3 way coil overs on his cars. He's finished 1st in every event he's participated in this season besides one (which he took 2nd place)

When I pick up my FR-S next year, the day it gets home, I will be making the call to pick up some Stance coilovers.

I have experience with Stance, and its probably one of the best entry level coilovers on the market.

I first started using Stance Coilovers on my S14 after a horrible piston failure from my Tein flex coilovers during HPDE. At first Stance was fairly new and it was gaining popularity on NICO, so not a whole lot of reviews. But it was very comfortable while being stiff. After 8000 street miles with no issues, which is the most iv ever put down on coilovers without breaking, I knew this was reliable system.

I put it to the test putting Stance GR+ Pros on my FC TII, and had it on HPDE and autocross, and while they weren't perfect. They did provide the best suspension investment per dollar at the $1200 range. I don't want to get into anymore details. but anyone looking at stance coilovers should REAAALLLY consider it.

my 2cents

-Josh

TUV Certified for corrosion resistance!

and a 2-year manufacturers warranty?! That says something right there!

Not to mention Over-all champion for the Canadian GT!
