*By tune I only mean the setting is the tuning menu, NOT changing parts. (I Re-read what I typed and realized it may be taken differently than what I meant.)

In the end I want to try and make this race competitive for everyone. So if it means helping you guys get better and handing out my setup, I will do so for sure. I can also explain to you how to adjust your setup if you wish. But you will need to help me by explaining what the car is doing. The better you can explain it, the more info I have to help you. Sometimes figuring out what the car is doing is the hardest part. bneale

I'll do my best to explain what the car does from there, but I'm not sure how much of it would be due to user error and how much would be the car actually having issues. Is it worth it to try to drive without ABS? I know I probably need to be more subtle with my braking/throttle inputs so maybe it would help me learn that. I always have problems with steering too, I never know how much to use the joystick. |

What do you do for Camber Neale? I've got my springs and such set at a rate where I enjoy the oversteer/understeer, but I haven't touched camber/toe/caster and all that.

Yes, if you learn to run with ABS off, you have a HUGE advantange over everyone else. ABS is a major crutch with racing. If you learn to modify your brake pressure into a corner, you can go deeper and stop faster then what you can do with ABS turned on. I didn't think it would make a huge advantage but it really does. Same goes for racing with manual and clutch turned on. You get a huge advantage from running this system. Most people have issues working the A button and X/B buttons for shifting. I did until I modified my contoller layout. I'm using a layout now which is hands down the best layout for using clutch. I can explain if you guys really want to try using it. It will take you about 1 hour to fully adjust though. bneale

I normally start with Camber set to 0.9 for front and 0.6 for rear. Then as I'm racing, I use the telemetry to check the temps accross each one of my tires. What I want to see is about a 10 or 15 degree difference between the outside and inside of the tires max. So what I do is start with my general settings and adjust as needed. If the heat is fairly even accross the tires, I'll add a little more camber. I think right now I'm running -1.1 on the front tires and -0.8 on the rear. Adding more Camber in general will make the car more responsive for the entire corner. Front camber helps turn in, rear camber helps more rotation for turn out. If you use my settings, you may need to adjust your spring rates accordingly. For toe, I generally try not too mess with it too much. I set my rear toe to -0.3 for a bit more stability and 0.3 for more turn in on the front. Some cars don't need any toe at all though. Keep asking questions guys! I can see you guys are learning already. bneale

What controller layout are you using for the manual w/clutch? I have been running manual forever in this game but every time I switch to w/clutch the layout doesn't allow me to heel-toe as I would with a car and when trying to downshift into a corner it really gives me problems.
The set-up it gives me is X- Downshift B- Upshift LB- Clutch LT- Brake RT- Gas This forces me to use my left index finger for either Brake OR Clutch, unless I contort my finger at an angle which usually subsequently causes me to not press the brake as firm causing me to come into a corner too hot. I have thought about trying to use the RB as my clutch but then I think I may run into a similar problem with rev-matching while trying to heel-toe.

How about you just put a tune on the marketplace for free and post the name here. Like that we all have the exact same set up.

It sounds like you're talking about a pro and amateur division. Which would be running two different groups at the same time, like the multi class races, except we're running the same class. I don't know if that's possible to setup ingame, and how would the divisions be decided? For example, Dragon was saying I'm stuck between the two.

Right now I have an idea for prize money which I will fit the bill myself. The idea is, best overall driver (as in the one with the most points at the end of the series) will be awarded 5 million Forza credits. The best novice/new driver will earn 3 million Forza credits. Total of 8 million to be awarded. If one of the novices wins the entire thing, they would be awarded 8 million credits! How's that for incentive? bneale
