Columbia MD: Likely Ordering from Antwerpen Scion Soonish

Hey everyone,

Been excited about the twins for awhile, and I may be ordering an FR-S in the next month or so. I stopped by the dealership last week and the sales guy told me they're running about 3-6 months on delivery time. I wanted to say hello, ask if anyone on the forum has dealt with this dealership before, and get recommendation on a color choice.

6 speed of course, and I'll be using the car for DD/autocross(currently autocross a Miata locally).

Right now it will very likely be Firestorm, but I am really tempted by Hot Lava.

Experiences, thoughts, and opinions welcome!

Welcome I am from Columbia MD as well. I have not heard bad things from them and I know they have a few scion events a year so if that is the dealership you are going with that should be good.

In terms of color its all about what you want? I love the Original Panda Trueno so went with White haha.

Good to hear on the dealership. My Miata is red and I have grown accustomed to red cars, so that is the direction I'm leaning.

Have you seen that delivery estimation time to be fairly accurate around the forum, or do you think it might be quicker?

Delivery times are fucked, especially for the BRZ. You will probably have better luck with the FR-S, but expect their times to be accurate and celebrate if it comes early.

I'm also from Columbia MD. I actually ended up getting my FR-S from Koons Toyota down in Tyson's Corner VA since they had one available in the color I wanted.

Anyways, I am looking to get into autocross and was wondering where/when/with who are you doing autocross?

I run locally with Capital Driving Club, Mazda Sports Car Club of Washington, and Corvette Club of America. I did one SCCA event, and I found it to be too formal for my tastes. CDC is one of the best groups you can run with.

Typically events are in Frederick or Bowie, but some other places see events as well. I am currently doing it in my Miata, and loving it. The Miata will likely get traded in towards the the FR-S though, but we'll see.

Run CDC my self, was there back in June with my FRS less than 24 hours after I got it, was brilliant!

Yeah man same. I remember the time was pretty solid cause everyone was watching. I will likely be ordering soon. Probably won't have the car for this season but will likely have it for next year.

I'll be at capital on the 25th so I'll look for you if you're gonna be there.

About how long did you have to wait after ordering?
