Homelink mirror doesn't work properly. I pull in the garage and the first thing you want to do is turn the engine off so you don't get smogged, but then go to put the garage door down and it doesn't work. Same with opening the garage door, you have to start the engine (or at least turn the key on) before being able to open the garage door.
My BMW had the same problem. Acura gets it right as they are active as soon as you get in the car and even after you shut the engine off. Very annoying! And a waste of $200+ for the homelink mirror. |

BRZ MT Limited owner here
Love the car - thank you Subaru and Toyota - I am very impressed. Most of my comments and concerns have been posted by others already. Here are some additional thoughts: - I hate the red stitching - Sun visors are a little too short - Some toe room under the front seats would make the rear seat useable - 12V sockets do not work with car off - Provide a wood-grain option for the Limited trim instead of the silver plastic Work off the issues in this thread and I'll buy another one! |

Wood-grain, in a twin? I bet you want shag carpeting and gold plated curb feelers too. |

![]() They have been great to work with so far. My rep has called me daily with updates, but I will not know if it is just lip service or great customer service until we find out if they are going to replace the car or not? It is easy to sound sympathetic until action is required. Small or not, I paid for a brand new car with no accidents. Repairing the frame of the car is right there with selling me a wrecked car. I trust them to do the right thing and make a true believer out of me though. Corporate Toyota/ Scion has not done anything to lose my faith in them yet. This will either turn into a great testimonial, are just the opposite. I know I already mentioned this elsewhere, but I really hope I didn't lose the level of customer service I have had from Subaru on my last 3 STI's by going with the FRS over the BRZ. |

I own a manual FR-S
Audio System (Bespoke) - looks nice, but limited additional functionality. It's essentially useless over the base system unless you have an iphone, and it sounds like most of the iphone functions aren't that great. Engine - pretty noticeable flat-spot as far as torque goes. Most noticeable for me in the 1-2 shift, which seems to drop me right into the dead spot. Overall, no huge complaints. It generally does what I expect it to. Sound - it sounds a bit like a piece of farm equipment. Again, I wasn't expecting it to sound great and I'm not complaining. Just mentioning. Piping intake noise into the cabin is an interesting idea, but I'm not sure how well it works. I noticed this car sounds a lot different (worse) when sitting in the passenger seat. Since the noise is piped in on the passenger side, I think it has something to do with the intake piping. I will probably remove/plug this up and see what the difference is. -Justin Last edited by Justin.b; 08-09-2012 at 09:38 AM. |

cmss2000 - just hit the start button without pushing in the clutch and it will power on the door opener and other accessories.

^ That would be best. I have more than once turned off the car only realizing I had not opened the garage yet and had to turn the car back on to do so. But I'd rather deal with that compared to the always works version the Genesis had.

PLEASE do a little something with the keyless fob so that it isn't so ugly. I would think a little paint in the Subaru emblem wouldnt cost much.

In addition, the bottom cushion is a tad hard after a few hours. Adding a softer layer of padding to have an airy feel may also help cool our bottoms.
