Thanks, I'll try that.

I think some people have different definitions of a "blind spot." For instance, yes I know I can swivel my head and I always do in order to check my blind spot before I merge. I think people feel better when they can see more in their mirrors because they have a better idea of what's around them while keeping their head forward. Also, going from a four-door sedan to a coupe where the back end pinches out is an adjustment. You just have to find out what works for you.

The left mirror cannot be distorted in any way. The left mirror should never effect the view of the object in any way. Stupid, yes, and the law only pertains to the US. I seriously doubt anyone will ever notice since I never failed an inspection with mine in.. I even get the tinted ones if the car does not have auto tint mirrors.

Stupid laws breed contempt for the law.

There is a difference between the way something has to be sold and what's required of an owner to pass an inspection.

I did the mirror adjust a few weeks ago (thanks to a link on here) and I like it. I'm sure somebody will "fix" it for me at the dealership or other service center at some point.

I think they're much more beneficial than these and have already saved me from some jerk who didn't want to speed up, slow down, or change lanes to let me merge. You will look a bit daft with them though
would you mind posting a pic? just curious as to how it looks. thanks.

Dunno why it seems so hard for half of the people here to just practice setting up the stock mirrors properly lol. In my Celica, which is said to have very bad blind spots, I can see a lane and a half (or maybe a lane and a fourth) over, plus still see the side of my car, so the most work I technically would ever need to do is make sure there is no car directly adjacent, but I mean...if you try to merge when a car is adjacent to you, there may be something wrong with you.

Adjusting mirrors is probably the most common mistake made by the majority of drivers.

If you can see the car that's behind you in the same lane in all three of your mirrors you're way off base. If your side view mirrors are adjusted properly you will be able to see a car appear in them before that car leaves your rear view mirror. Also, if your side view mirrors are adjusted properly you will be able to see that car out of your peripheral vision before he leaves your vision in the mirrors.

It will take some adjusting to get them right and it's going to seem odd in the beginning but if you stick with it, it won't be long before you wonder why it took you so long to figure it out.

Broadway & properly adjusted side mirrors = excellent combination.
Just picked one up yesterday.
I love it...

I use a method that I first learned and still use motorcycling. Simply lean forward to change the viewing angle you see. Only takes a second, no need to turn your head. Just lean forward and look at your side view mirrors.

^Fixed,

I know.

They are mirrors, legal or not, put them on!
