These R magic Mirrors might help a bit.

It makes me look like a complete dork but I just got those $5 round blindspot mirrors that you put in the corner...mine are adjustable too
![]() I think they're much more beneficial than these and have already saved me from some jerk who didn't want to speed up, slow down, or change lanes to let me merge. You will look a bit daft with them though

They are not legal but I have put them on pretty much every car I have ever owned. They have knockoffs on ebay right now btw for 100 buckaroos

I just started doing this a week after I got my car: http://www.caranddriver.com/features...id-blind-spots
It works, too. Saved me a couple of times already. Maybe not as effective as that, but it's free (and legal) lol

I remember someone posting a mirror like this, probably with even MORE visibility than this one. someone also mentioned that they were illegal. If i could find some for $25 a piece, i would get them. i doubt a cop would even notice them, or care.

I can't seem to find a source right now but IIRC, US lawmakers said that it is illegal for any automaker to put in any curved(convex or concave) mirrors on the driver's side view mirror. The passenger side mirror is slightly convex, hence the "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear." I'm not sure about the legality of any aftermarket mirrors though but it shouldn't get you into any trouble unless they are somehow a public nuisance.

i think the only time you would have to worry about it would be inspections...
and then you can just replace the stock ones |

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it yet, but you can pretty much eliminate the blind spot if you angle your mirrors out farther from the car. Try to set it up so the car progresses through your fields of view: Cars behind you will be in your rear-view, as cars pass through what used to be your blind spot they should be in the side mirrors, then as they pull alongside you will see them directly out the window. There should be no more blind spot if everything is set up right, the cars will evenly transition from rear-view, to side-view, then to visible outside the window.
