Better geared manual for fuel economy.
All the trims in the US.
A stretched "sedan" version of the chassis. (Yes, I realize Jordo will hate me for saying this.)

Start manufacturing in the US, our exchange rate is low and it's going to be that way for awhile. I don't have the numbers in front of me but I think they can sell 15k-30k more in the US if they made it here, enough to make it a wash between importing and domestic production, I think. The AT gets better MPG than the Stang, especially in the city, and as more millies age this car will only become more popular.

Fix the chirping problem. Build it to run on ethanol or whatever is necessary but don't sell a car here that can't run on our fuel without chirping like a GD cricket farm.

Factory E85 support. More of a novelty item but it's something Subaru should look into for the future. Their cars are popular in ethanol states and it might be an interesting program.

Also, the torque dip, why is it there?

I'd also like to see AWD 25F:75R split but knowing that the egnine and tranny are so low that may be impossible to ask of Toyota/Subaru.
Please don't mention AWD and this car. It's not possible and it's become a popular trolling phrase.

Not likely. Premium lets them get good emissions/fuel efficiency while making more power. The actual cost is the same since it's designed for premium. Which is exactly why premium brands do it.

I would appreciate more engines for those of us who want more hp but want to stay N/a.

I just want the whole TRD edition package to be available from the dealership. I'd dish out the extra cash if it's straight from the factory.
I'm the same with turbo. I'm not going to hate on the guys who get kits but I don't believe a factory turbo would make the car "better."

And yes to the special editions.

i don't own the car yet so i can't speak too much about improvements, but with all the talk from the factory about d-4s being the holy grail of combining gas mileage and power, i'd like to see 10-15 more hp n/a and even better than current gas mileage. maybe a VTC system like the i-VTEC k series motors, that should improve the midrange torque. i'd personally like to see a higher redline. incrementally more weight reduction every model year. a factory boost option would be good if only to make all the whiners like jordo shut up. i'd personally like to see a fastback hatch as it'd make it a lot easier to put all that track gear in the back. all the limited options that the rest of the world gets should be available in north america. all trd parts and nur spec kit should be available from the dealer. what am i missing?

edit: oh yeah, how about 5x114 hubs?

Ok, here is a list of a few things that I miss from my last car and still dont know why they are not standard.

1) Auto Headlights, Really, 10 years ago they were standard on Mercedes-benz

2) Some radio/phone controls on the steering wheel, i should be able to raise the volume with out taking my hands of the wheel.

3) Heated Seats for both sides.

4) A split rear seat.

I didn't really have the choice, but the way I ordered mine, it states that it comes with all season tires. I don't know what brand or type, I just know that's what the option it had listed was when I configured it.

I would think it would be relatively easy to get 240 hp out of the engine much like Honda did with the S2000

Based on my test drive of an FR-S AT, I'd want a little more power and torque. The upcoming Subie 1.6 liter DI boxer turbo looks promising. Just 180 ft.-lbs. peaking below 2,500 rpm would do wonders. I also thought I would want better on-center steering feel, which is often a major weakness in EPS systems, but I might think it's fine with more seat time.

While I don't own one, I've driven one and noticed a few small things I disliked.

A tad more power would be nice. Nothing crazy, but just a small bump. Hopefully, in the process, they can lose the torque dip from the factory.

HIDs would be cool and for the price it's selling at, I think it should be on the car anyways.

A low-boost, turbo model would also be nice and I know people who are wanting it would love to have it from the get-go.

Besides that, they should take notes and recognize and fix whatever problems people are having with the first year model.

Screw all wheel drive and a V-anything in this car. My opinion of course but those two things would completely ruin this car.

I like this thread.

I see some themes emerging: More power, more options, nicer trim levels -- these would all be good things, and none would have to detract from the spirit of the car, or from the basic model "driver's car".

Keep it going
