What Would You Like to See for future model years?

Yes, this thread is for those of us who think the twins are great, but have left us wanting more.

Rather than bash the problems or sing the praises, let's talk about what the future should hold.

I'll start.

Id really like to see toyota borrow a page from hyundai and offer the car in three teirs. A NA version (the current model), a boosted 2.0 or 2.5 motor, and a V6 (possibly even a boosted one of that, which could be a top of the line "supra" model).

Why not offer the brilliant chassis in more than one flavor?

What do you think?

If my idea doesn't appeal, what other ideas come to mind?

They cant do too much to leave room for the upcoming supra

I would say so..:(

Errr... let's presume that there's still room to grow with the FR-S chassis and take it from there.

Even if they took this body and offered massive power-ups in the form of a 60K (outrageous!) Supra, there's room in the middle for competitors with the various Genesis trims, no?

the new supra is going to be like the GTR, the previews gens were affordable by alot of people, and then the new gens come out being 80k+. pisses me off how they do that.

$80k for a GTR too much?? ROFL. Come to Australia.... you can double that ;)

Wasn't the Supra in the $40k range 20 years ago? That wasn't exactly affordable for a lot of people. Even if it came out at that price today it wouldn't be affordable for a lot of people...

edit: after hitting an inflation calculator the Supra would be almost $60k in todays dollars.

I'd like it to sprout wings at speeds over 80 mph so that it could also be used as a low level aircraft.

A small nuclear reactor as a powerplant would also be nice especially if gas prices continue to rise.

It would also be cool if you could customize the lock/unlock tone when you press the buttons on the key fob. Like many people, I use this function to find my car on crowded parking lots so I would program it to say: "Over here, asshole" when I press one of the buttons.

I'd also like them to offer the interior with either a Leopard print or bright green plaid.

TOP DOWN TOP DOWN Summer car

But seriously though, I'd like to see a bump in the TQ and maybe more options like the JDM GT86.

Great subject! I've pondered what I'd like to see on FRS Ver.2, already! Here we go!
(1.) a center storage / armrest...the glove box can only hold so many cd's!
(2.) a standard sound system to at least rival Honda
(3.) More N/A power...without the compromise of fair MPG
(4.) maybe...maybe a slightly longer wheelbase to accomodate a "real" back seat...maybe; without compromising performance/balance

While refuling today, a young man asked "is that the new FRS?" I replied "yes sir, it sure is!" He then asked it "is it fast?" I replied "that's not what it's made for, but the performance, "the drive" is the car's intended purpose!"

1: Yes on Armrest and storage but who uses CD's anymore? Whoa! :D
2: Coming from a Prelude and an S2000, the FRS has a better sound system.
3: Agree. I think this engine is rather "corked" but keep in mind it is only $25k. There should be factory power-increasing options at some point.
4: hmmmm... intriguing concept.
