At least we know what 20's will look like on this car and a 10.5 width! Imagine the crazy offsets folks will be putting on this car.
If they offered Brembo calipers as an upgrade that would be awesome but monoblocks... yeah right!

This Scion FR-S Concept shown at New York was built by Five Axis, a prominent show car and customization house in Southern California. The car features massive 20 x 8.5 in. wheels up front and 20 x 10.5 in. wheels out back. While we must say the FR-S looks aggressive and much more production-ready than the other concepts before it, something tells us the gigantic 20-in. wheels will not make it into production.

built by != designed by.

So Calty did the FT-HS, which seems inspired the ED2 mk1 design, then the JDM design house morphed into the mk2 and I'm guessing which calty refined into the Mk3?
Would be nice to get the real story.

True. It still retains the Dezi MKII body lines but I didn't know Axis had the ability to go all West Coast Customs out on a car. Maybe it was a joint effort with Calty and Axis.

You must not be a fan of the gold! What would it rather be Endless or Project Mu?

Oh I love gold! Just I'm planning to get gold wheels... so gold wheels w gold calipers doesn't really go well. I know recent STI's Brembo make Red & Black, so I thought Black or Red might work... or aftermarket Endless Silver/Chrome might look nice w gold wheels

Yeah gold on gold wouldn't look good. Can't go wrong with the red brembos too!

Hopefully they make a monoblock 6piston/4piston Brembo BBK kit for this car. Im thinking somewhere between 355mm-380mm. Nothing looks better than some Brembos...

i like the MKIII best

but the order they came out in was kinda funny. MKI looked pretty production-ready except for the carbon fiber bits.

MKII looked like a Scion riced out to the max. my least fav.

Then MKIII is the sexiest by far, but also perhaps the least production ready? i thought it was just gonna be a toned-down, repainted version of the MKII as they fine tuned the design. i was wrong.

and where does the G's version fit in here? how many more concepts before the production version? why hasn't subaru shown one version when toyota has shown four?

I like MkIII the best, but that rear bumper is causing me concern of it's exhaust since I hope to have an exhaust on it asap to hear that boxer tone better.

I think they were surprised by the overwhelmingly negative response to the MKII. I think a lot of the MkIII is doable though..
I'd really like to see the scooby version..

I think the design changed between I and II so they could accomodate all the safety accoutrements. when I say roadworthy, I mean they had to enlarge the vehicle in every way in order to line up better with what a production car needs in order to be street legal. So eventhough the first concept looked very good, it was much farther from a street legal car than the latter two concepts wouldn't you agree? Yes the FR-S is a concept but it's much closer to the final production car than the first FT-86 was I believe.

by the way, is the name of this forum going to change to FR-Sclub.com now?
