First time ECU flashing 2013 BRZ with Tactrix and EcuFlash. Requesting support.
Hope you're all having a good day
![]() I've recently acquired a Tactrix adapter and dug out my old laptop that is still running windows 10 in order to attempt flashing my 2013 BRZ with a Stage 1 OFT tune. Tried my best to understand Steve99's post detailing how to use EcuFlash and RomRaider to flash a tune onto my car. While I was able to read the stock tune on my car without issue and save the .srf file, when I tried to load up Stage 1 OFT tune I got off of the OTS OFT tunes files page the table values were all over the place and I obviously did not proceed with flashing. I tried doing the steps of placing the .xml definition file for my car's Calibration ID (ZA1JB01C) in the C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\subaru\BRZ\2012 \ directory and the 32BITBASE.xml file in the Bases folder, but it hasn't helped. My buddy who used Tactrix to flash his car many years ago vaguely remembers having to open the OFT tunes in rom-raider and then save them from there to correct the values, but I'm not sure if that's how you go about it. I did try that with no success as well. At this point I'm pretty stumped and I'm not sure if I can figure this out on my own. Any step-by-step advice would be greatly appreciated. It would also make my life a lot easier if somebody has Stage 1 and 2 OFT Tunes for ZA1JB01C that don't have messed up values that I could flash onto my car without any issue or headache. Crossing my fingers I don't make a critical error somewhere along the line and brick my ECU

Ok I know steve99 very well :-)
Oft tunes use hacked ROMs and hacked definitions A B01C oft tune is actually an A01G internally This has confused the crap out of ecuflash as it expects B01C to be genuine B01C not A01G hence all the weird tables Also oft ROMs don't correct checksums so be sure to answer yes before you flash any oft ROMs else you will be looking me up to unbrick you ecu If your car is a 2013 manual use the oft A01G ROMs they don't have hacks and that's basically flashing same rom as a B01C oft just without hacks to calid It will open and flash no problem to your 2013 manual, just remember to correct checksum |

If you grab a stock B01C from steve99 tactrix post you will fing ecuflash will open that fine
Just the oft ROMs that are altered but use the A01G as substitute for B01C you will be fine |
