2013 ZN6 Opening at top of transmission

Hello folks. I found a hole in the transmission housing at the top from the passenger side in the engine bay. Is this normal? Or did something in there try to escape? This is a 2013 FRS.

Normal and not normal.

That's one of the transmission inspection ports.

Usually there is a rubber cover there. It often falls off/gets lost/gets eaten by the transmission. If you feel around nearby, you might be able to find it

You can get a new one at your local dealer. Verus also sells an aftermarket bolt-on replacement cover.

Just ordered this from 86speed today. Getting the part tomorrow just in time for the sdrscca rallyx. As for the Toyota part #, I think it's 31121-60040. Thanks!

For cars with an automatic transmission, it's access to the torque converter bolts. On manual cars it's where you drop a 10mm socket.
