How much camber were you running with the xida and how much are you running with Shaftworks ?

Im thinking my shaftwork setup will max out at -4.5 at my ride height(20mm) drop

The Xidas were capable of -5.5 or more, i never maxed them out, but ran them around -5.1.

The current combo is maxed out at -4.6ish.

Some catchup and the last local test before Nats!

Fresh tires, wet setup for Nats, bigger front wheel spacers, and a surprisingly hard to source replacement air filter for my TRD intake, a local asphalt event with OVR, another top pax.

New ATS Carbon diff via ASMotorsports, new rear bar via Ken Houseal and the last NWOR concrete event before Nats.

The diff was transformational. I really cant understate it. The way it allows so much better control of maintenance throttle and corner entry grip is so much fun. I didnt notice a huge difference in corner exit behavior but this is a pretty grippy concrete site. I think that characteristic be more noticeable on my local crappy asphalt site with OVR.

Top 10 PAX with a couple defending natty champs is a good sign. Im really excited for Nats.

SoloNats recap post? A month late?

Eight years since the first one I attended, I was reminded that there are levels to this ish. DST had 5(?) previous national champions ahead of me, and a new one crowned.

The car was great. I didnt feel a need do anything but tire pressures. However, making such wild mechanical changes with only one test event before Nats was... a decision.
I did not plan to, nor come prepared to shave OPR. I dont think it mattered even a little bit on day one(west course for me.) On day two, east course, i think OPR maybe contributed to how poor I was able to do the first left hander into the "fish ladder" slalom. That corner was my nemesis and I never did it well enough to feel good about.
It was also abnormally cold for the time and region, and the Yokohama drivers probably had a decent advantage. Not having a codriver AND being on Stones may not have been the best combo.
Lastly, my canned OFT tune has a stock or near-stock rev limiter. This was a huge hindrance on day one/west and a small hindrance on day two/east. This was the first thing i fixed/addressed post-event.

I started well, was 7th at the end of Day 1.
I coned away the same 7th on day two. (Class paid trophies to 9)
Ended 12th of 33.

Silver linings:
Second fastest Bridgestone car.
Second fastest stock-caliper car.
Fourth fastest solo-driven car.
Second fastest red car.
Fastest red twin. lol.
No trophy.

30 hours of solo towing across Iowa and Missourri was way worse than the visual sights I had when towing here from Lake Forest, CA in 2017.

Was great to see some faces I hadn’t crossed paths with since 2017. Also tons of car-internet high fives.

Until next time… in 2033?

OVR does a cool late season/post season mini series of 3-4 weeknight PAX Challenges. It scores a separate season championship. The last two years I've been plagued with weekday work travel and missed most of them.

This year I made it to all three.

I dont have video of event #2, but I was able to sweep all three events, Top PAX and Top Raw FTD.
