10 microfibers aren't that expensive plus they're easy to wash in gentle cycle with mild detergent and hang dry. Better than having that chance of one grain that didn't wash off from a mitt in a two bucket system and scratching your car. Everyone's got their own methods

This product looks awesome... would it make sense to use the two bucket system with this pad/soap?

SO one pad would suffice for the whole car?

yeah one pad works.

i skip the two bucket system because my car is generally not that dirty. it never hurts to use 2 buckets though.

Just pressure wash rinse the car from lose debris before scrubbing it's paint; that way, you know you won't be grinding those rocks against your paint. Seriously, even if you use $20 microfibre towels, you're still going to get scratches unless you start investing in a pressure washer.

I've taken my Tacoma on fire trails, hills, ruts and the paint is fine. These new FR-S and BRZ owners drive to and from work and their cars have pits. Toyota paint is alot more forgiving. Subaru's paint sucks b/c it's a combination of both; thin paint and light application.

I'm not usually one to complain, but I feel the exterior paint is a bit thin... Just discovered my first chip right under the trunk lid.

Oh well... I suppose it's just a car...................

A Pressure washer is a bit too powerful if you have a small chip it can cause your paint to flake off in that area, rinsing your car off with a regular hose is fine, then always keeping it wet and soapy as you wash is the car is the best method

1600 PSI electric power washer shouldn't hurt the paint at all. Just use a light-duty washer, or change the nozzle to a more forgiving stream pattern. Normal garden hose won't cut it if you have alot of grime and dirt stuck on the paint... even with Opti-coat on...

both the fr-s and the br-z are both built in the same plant on the same line in japan ... not 100% sure if its in toyota town or not ... but i thank there useing the suby paint not the toyota stuff.. i will ask tommorrow at work and see if they can pull the paint info from the japan factory

Not everyone has a power washer. For those who only have a garden hose, there are products which are made to help more easily remove gunk (including bugs) from your paint. Try http://www.tarminator.com/
