Then rinse and wash with a mild detergent safe for skin...laundry detergent.

You need to dry it fast so place it on top of a fan so you don't get more mold.

No harsh chemicals or even alcohol! Do not risk breaking down the impact foam or the glues.
Great suggestions! It's been raining or looking like rain here all weekend so I haven't touched the gear yet. Since my Bell is a Pro series the liners actually come out by design for replacement/radio wiring/etc. I may just replace the liners all together and then dump the helmet in a water/bleach mix like you said. My flat black helmet will likely become flat grey by doing so, but whatever :P

I'm going to call some dry cleaning places this week also to see if they have any suggestions. I'm fine with paying to get it done "right" if needed.

Luckily I still have my SA2005 helmet laying around, it's become an autocross helmet but if I reinstall HANS anchors I can use it again temporarily.

If the liner comes out great. Use less bleach and dunk the helmet. Your paint shouldn't be effected by an ounce of bleach in say 5 gallons of water. Mold can get you pretty sick so best not to take chances. The bleach will work its just a balance act using just enough to kill the mold without discoloring the liner.

As for the vinegar its just not strong enough. Take my word for it as my women is one of those anti-chemical freaks and even she agrees sometimes goos old bleach is needed. LOL

Err I meant 6 event, not 6 month.. technically good for 6 events over a 12 month period.

I use Lockton Affinity http://hpdeins.locktonaffinity.com/

BMWCCA, PCA, Chin, etc are setup with them, as is my own event. You can pay for a single event, or multipel event packages. Since ITR Expo is at Mid-Ohio this year though I have to get a multiple event package because they don't allow Mid Ohio as a single event purchase.

Sebring is only 1.5 hours from my house though so the other 5 events will happen within a year anyways.
