I wish I could and would. I guess I'm not a true car guy.
Respect.

Anyone can, just start small. Air filters and oil changes and go from there. Most just do basic maintenance, which is fairly easy to learn. You don't have to be able to pull motors to look after a car. |

I got thinking about this post...
I currently work on my own cars and equipment. I track the FR-S regularly (I wasn't at track in 2024 due to health reasons) I look forward to this season. I also have modified it quite a bit. I do ALL of the work on the FR-S. I've worked on cars most of my life, mostly out of necessity. I like detailing cars. I visit car forums. Yet, I don't consider myself a "car guy" I have too many other interests. My "car guy" friends are more hardcore. They live, eat and breathe cars. There's no doubt I will sell this car eventually and another chapter will open up. |

It's too easy for me to eat, sleep, and drink cars/motorcycles. I try to keep some space, but it's hard. I try to stay busy with work as much as possible (and then multitask with the car and motorcycle thing alongside...).

Meh. I know car guys who don’t work on their own stuff but know more about the history and brands that they are into than I will ever care to know. Some of them have a car they like and just enjoy driving with no mechanical knowledge or knowledge of much automotive. Nothing wrong with that. There is a place for everyone, except the stance and takeover crowed. They can all walk or ride bikes.

Buying this car got me into detailing which has led to a profitable enough side hustle to fund my expensive car part habit
.Mechanically these are a dream to work on to the point I buy stuff because I enjoy working on it lol.. I have several things coming in this week, and the transmission will be off again our bed yes
