Best oil to use for high performance driving?

I watched the above video the other day.

I swapped to a 5w-30 (specifically Pennzoil Ultra Platnium, thanks "The Motor Oil Geek"). I keep going back to the fact that the manual says 5w-30 can be used AND other countries manuals state 5w-30, not 0w-20. It's not that 20 weight oil is terrible, but it's probably the limit of what the would cause reasonable wear, but also result in better fuel mileage. 30 weight likely better protects for the long run and I'd even make a case that 40 weight could even be an option.

My 0w-20 oil analysis with Motul came back just "ok" with 5 parts per million for aluminum with ~2k of street miles and about 15 autocrosses. It's not bad, but not great given the mileage on that sample. I'm testing PUP 5w-30 and redoing the test... with a flush in between and getting two samples of each that are all similar. If PUP can get in the 2-3 parts per million range, I'm cool with that as PUP is available at Walmart vs ordering online for Motul.

There seems to be a lot misinformation online, especially forums and Reddit. I ran the 0w-20 many suggest on here for even street use and trusted the manufacturer, but I do think going to a 30 weight in these cars is the best option. In my older EJ WRX that's rated for 5w-30, I've always run 5w-40 and it's widely known now a 40 weight is basically required for longevity. If it was 2025, they'd be saying put a 20 weight in there from the factory... oof.

Never mind the name; look at the specs on the back of the container. I believe latest spec is SP+, which in a 0W20 grade will do quite well for a non-track car. Also, the Dexos rating is another good indicator.

Are we posting analysis results now?!? Lets go! This is my first drain from after I bought my car.

The question I actually have is that I specifically put that my sample came from a FA20D. I would think that the FA20T would have different expectations.

I also had to look up what the 4U GSE meant lol
