Rear Quarter Panel Crack
Hi, I bought my 2013 FRS knowing it had a small crack on the passenger side skirt. Long story short there was a spot on the interstate where there was a bump that caused the bottom of my car to slam on the road and it worsened from there. It looks like someone may have tried to do some sort of bondo repair on this spot before. I am considering my options of doing my own bondo job, taking it to a shop or potentially just throwing a body kit on it. Ideally I want to keep cost as low as possible but know that regardless it wont be cheap. If anyone has any ideas I am all ears. |

Looking at paint quality,(lack there of) the entire quarter panel has had body work done. A crack like that indicates there's a lot of bondo underneath which could be hiding something worse.
That panel needs to be taken down to bare metal to assess the damage. The bondo is failing and applying more won't fix the issue underneath. |

Is the car a "salvage"? I'd be worried that amount of body flex.

Call your insurance and see if they can help. It needs professional help. Maybe a quarter panel replacement.

Sam, since the damage appears to be worsened by a previous poor repair, a DIY Bondo fix could be a cost-effective short-term solution if you're comfortable with some sanding and painting.
