Got a box from Japan on Friday. Immediately forgot it at my desk. JDM Toyota black interior and another shift knob.
![]() Lent the BRZ to a friend from Ontario, he took it to see some dinos and the mountains. ![]()

They're definitely a sharp wheel, probably one of my favorite OEM 5x100 wheels. Unfortunately the previous owner of them in Japan parked by feel, so all 4 have 3-6" of rash on the outer lips :/

Swapped in an FRS cluster face and needles. The day I picked up the car was the first time I ever noticed the BRZ cluster and I haven't liked it ever since. With this swap I retained the factory BRZ cluster, so my odometer is still the original and the red backlighting remains. Also noticed that the BRZ face didn't even have a cut out for TMPS like the FRS does, weird that the "base" model car has what the top trim does not. Not really complaining though!

Picked up a used set of TOM'S tail lights for the car, and an auto-dim mirror from https://hachielectronics.com/. I should do an oil change soon...
Happy New Year to the 3 people who got this site to load lol.

Too cold to do any exterior work and ice could damage the parts. Did an oil change and swapped steering wheels with a Toyota Japan red side steering wheel. Matches nicely with the STI push button and other red accent lights. Potato photo, but it is what it is lol.

Car was fine, driver did not enjoy it. It was pretty dry at those temperatures, no new snowfall. The week after we got ~7" and now it is all slush.

Hit 200k km. Decided having a sensible stock height daily is silly. Kics spacers on order and will be installing the Ohlins off of the 86. Also got a set of BRZ PP wheels for super cheap, though the guy who I bought them from seems to have attended the same park-by-feel driving school as the previous STI wheel owner.
Now to install parts and decide on some tires for the PP wheels. A bit torn between a sensible daily driving tire and something cheap to take drifting. ![]()

Drivers rear caliper expired right at 200,003 km lol. Rockauto replacement installed, brakes bled, and Endless MX72+ installed.

Got some cheapo tires mounted for a drift day, now just need my calendar to clear. Also swapped AC condensers, just need to get the system filled now. Unfortunately the car decided that with the new condenser, a wheel bearing would die. I blame the mechanic. He definitely broke this unrelated system.

Rear bearings might be one of the few things I won't tackle my self. Everything I have read suggest it'll be a royal PITA.
Ps mix and match wheels! |
