sti steering rack bolts and bushings

I can not get the stock steering rack bushings out. Anybody have good ideas? I saw somebody use a C clamp but I do not that have. I am also trying to do the sti longer bolts and those I could not even get in. It feels like they want to cross thread, and so I put the stock ones back in. Anybody have a hard time with these as well?

Cusco makes a tool to remove those. I used it when I did my STI steering rack bolts/bushings. Made the job so much easier.
Happy 86 day!

And you can make a tool exactly like that for like $10 in parts from Lowe's/Home Depot.

I put my STI bolts in at the same time as my Whiteline bushings. A little bit of "stiction" going in, but I made sure I cleaned the far end of the bolt holes (at the front end of the subframe holes) and it was fine - start by hand until I was sure it was on the thread then handtools till tight.

North American dealers won't have them since it's a JDM BRZ tS part.

You can order them from Japan Parts:
