Airbag codes
I replaced the stock seats on my ‘22 GR86 with bucket seats for track duty.
For the driver’s seat, I installed the seat belt buckle receiver and put in a 3.3ohm resistor on the airbag plug. For the passenger seat, I removed the occupancy sensors from the stock seat, installed the seat belt buckle receiver, and put in a 3.3ohm resistor on the airbag plug. I’m getting the errors on the OBDII screenshot below. I’ve confirmed everything is connected correctly. Even brought in the passenger stock seat in to connect it to the airbag plug. I figured that should get the RH Airbag code off, but no. None of errors will go away. I’m guessing the SRS module if shorted. Any ideas how to troubleshoot it? I’m guessing I’ll have to reinstall the stock seats and take it to the dealership. I still drive the car on the roads to/from track events, so I have to get it inspected in VA. It won’t pass with an airbag error. |
