Ah, but those are hard failures. If I get what you mean, that would be catastrophic in the EPS gearbox. Definitely not the issue here.

Another funny thing. When I jacked my car up to check the clutch problem, I found that my Tien Flex A's had completely "self lowered". Obviously, I didn't get the lock rings tight enough. Now I've got to find my notes on ride height and reset.

Maybe that will fix my noise. (After I replace the *&$#@ Act clutch.)

Your noise could be spring bind, it sounds different than what I've experienced but if you have someone turn the steering wheel while you put a finger on your coilover top hat you'd feel the vibration.

Also, brass punch to tighten collars.

Does anyone use Loctite 222 on the collars? I've never used it for such large surface areas but from prior experience would think it's perfect here.

It might work, I just use Torrington bearings under the springs

They're cheap on McMaster. Bearing and two washers per coilover you want to put them on.

The noise is mostly gone. I pulled the right front wheel off. The bearing felt good. The only thing I found were ridges on the outside edge of the rotor. My newer brake pads are apparently slightly wider that the previous set. The inside ridge was probably 1/16" wide and maybe a 32nd deep. The outside one was smaller. I ground them down flush with the rest of the rotor.

I occasionally hear a faint noise that goes away when I touch the brake.
