Curious why the Whiteline endlinks were contacting the control arm? Does the Cusco mount the endlink any differently than OEM? Any chance of posting up a pic of it contacting?

No idea

Yeah the cusco has a wall that reinforces the brace so the screw and bracket hit it, i highly recommend the perrin much better quality IMO.

Here is a pic i took of both the stock and cusco arm i actually had to cut and shorten the screws that came with the white line kit.

And here is a pic of the bracket that the whiteline kit comes with, the perrin mounts right on there ill try to get a pic later. Do you see the angle of the whiteline end links? The perrin mounts just like stock.

Thanks for the extra pics as I'm interested in these arms as well.

How easy is it to adjust the lower arm? Do you have to unbolt the one, interior end and spin the pillow ball then bolt it back up? Or can you adjust it "on car"?

In regards to your corner weighting, I've noticed on a few corner weighted cars that there is a good 40-50lbs more weight on the left rear of the car (without spare/jack and minimal fuel). Have you seen anything under there that could account for that?

When you corner-balance the car, you are setting the coilovers to give you front left + right rear = front right + left rear. If the car has 100 lb. more weight on the left, it's going to show up on both the front left and right left tires after balancing, whether the extra weight is at the front, back, middle, or evenly distributed.

Often on Japanese performance cars they'll design them so that with a driver on the *right* side of the car, they get even left/right weight distribution. So with a driver on the *left* side, there is left-side weight bias.

On my FD, there's 130 lb. more weight on the left side than on the right with a left-side driver and 1/2 tank of fuel, because of the designed-in left weight bias. Same thing here. Doh.

Did you check on how much the percentage changed on your cross wieghts with and without the driver? I was pretty surprised, mine changed .1% . that is nothing compared to other cars. pretty cool...

Thanks Dan! Yeah, I figured as much, but I'm curious now as to what exactly is on the left hand side of the car that contributes to the weight? Is it the exhaust plumbing? Wiring looms? fuel tank deeper on the left? I'm really wondering if there are components that we can change or eliminate that would help reduce this built in bias?

-.02 camber. Why not just -.02 on both sides, instead of being unequal)
I'm not very experienced with alignment, so it's just a question that might receive a good answer thus making me more savvy in this area. Thanks
As an ex Toyota technician, I think ill answer this one lol. It's really difficult to get the numbers EXACTLY spot on cuz when u tighten the nuts, the numbers tend to move. Not only that, but also sometimes u want then off. Not to the left thou, its usually to the right (in the u.s. anyways). Becuz for the most part u have to take into consideration that w the driver sitting on the left (added weight) the car will tend to pull to the left. Therefore, majority of the times, if the person is heavy, I usually would try to slightly set it to pull to the right. To accommodate for the drivers weight... Being an EX tech sucks thou, just becuz I miss having the alignment machine handy when I needed it. Just yesterday, it was my first attempt to try getting the wheels to lose grip & drift this car for the first time (surprisingly hard for 215tires) & anyways... Im ashamed to say I it lost control & I flew into the inside of a corner & threw off my alignment when I got back on the road. (It was a backroad in the country) sucks.

Thought i would share my specs with the community. I didnt drive it with my track tires nor did i push it too much since i only had a chance to drive it a couple of laps and slowly since they were mowing grass around the track but i can say it felt great so well balanced even with the staggered setup. Tomorrow i will be lapping around the track with my track setup ( 17x8 RPF1'S on 245/40/17 RS3'S ) I will chime in on how it goes. This alignment will be my starting point and i will be adjusting specs as needed.

Notes:
-The weigh of the car posted in the corner balance sheet reads 2918 pounds but that is with the weight of the driver (me) which i am 200 pounds alignment guy made a mistake on the sheet but corrected it.
-I did the alignment and corner balance with my heavy street wheels as well 18 inch staggered kiwamis.
-Gas Tank was Full to the top as the gas station was right out side the track.
-Interior was empty no backpacks etc
-No tools or spare tire
-Total weight of just the car taking away my 200 pounds is = to 2718 pounds full of gas.
-Asked for a good an Aggressive Street / Track Setup

Suspension & Chassis Setup:

-KW V3'S
-Cusco Thicker Rear Sway Bar
-White Line Sway bar end links
-Vorshlag Front Camber Plates
-Cusco Rear Adjustable Arms
-Cusco Front Member Brace
-Cusco Rear side Member Braces

Visit: www.soulspeed.com

Below are the specs.

This may be a stupid question, but ill ask anyways. How did u get ur car aligned to begin w? Called a local Toyota dealer about doing my alignment & they don't even have the update out yet.

Used custom specs and camber plates & arms since the car has no stock adjustment.
