AiM Solo 2 DL sampling freq

Just to confirm, is everyone running the maximum freq for all channels (and not the default 10Hz across the board)?

Any issues / downsides to the maximum settings? Loss of data or anything of the sort?

I just double checked mine and they are just at the default 10hz. A bit of googling shows that the limit is more on the ECU side of things so upping the frequency won't help unless the ECU is also polling at the same higher rate. Doesn't seem to be any downside running 50hz though.

Maybe other people can chime in.... I do recall watching a video that quickly went over this topic but I can't seem to find it anymore

I had upped all the sampling frequencies on my AiM Solo 2 DL to the max. Not sure how long I've been running it like that, my last event I had a data outage where the S2DL stopped recording data (no ECU data, no GPS data). Not entirely sure what was going on there, as I was focused on driving the track. 7/8 sessions recorded fine though.

I ended up reverting to the default config, because (as an intermediate driver), grabbing barometric pressure at 20Hz vs 10Hz isn't really where my improvements lie.

Thank you. This is the kind of logging failure I was worried about.
You're right, some data like barometric pressure is definitely fine at 10Hz or even at 1Hz.
There are a few data points where the more granular, the better I think. Everything that has to do with reviewing corners: brake pressure, wheel speed,...
