Is this the Scion one where the logo is upside down?

No. It's the logo that's mirrored.

LOL

I think the steering column need some tweaking. I do not recall ever having to drive the car with my legs shoved through the spokes!

It did. Well mostly. It had not been winter driven and was well under coated but did have some surface rust in some areas underneath. The only area that was even close to having a hole was around a drain plug in the front trunk because of a leaky seal and plugged drain so water ended up pooling. Bit of tar and it was as good as new.
The rocker panels, door bottoms and rear wheel arches had a lot of rust bubbled paint but no rust through. Didn't take side or bottom pictures yet but the model will reflect these things.
It was actually one of the most sound cars I ever bought back then.

My Grandmother's '68 Corvair was never properly undercoated so after about 6 winters in KY it was wearing a bit thin. It had a metal Wonder Bread sign welded into the back floorboard to cover the holes there. Front was OK though. It's the car I learned to drive stick in. It is also the car where my Grandmother and I would 'codrive' it after she had surgery on her right arm. I was not of driving age, so she would drive and clutch and I would change the gears from the passenger side on her command. We got pretty good at it.

I bought mine from the son of my boss at the time (was in '82 or '83 I don't really remember which). I was originally going to pass as it had oil literally pouring out of ever possible gasket on the engine. We are talking a quart a day leaks here. When I crawled underneath to look at the leaks and saw the completely intact floor I changed my mind and actually paid the price he was asking for it. Didn't hurt that it was a 4 speed, 140HP car instead of the base. It was $300 or $400 or something. I pulled the engine out and redid all the gaskets and seals for about $20 (1982 $s) or so, sanded out all the rust bubbles and threw some primer on . It was a planned flip car but I drove it for a month or two before I sold it for $1600.

Done.
The dull faded paint is done by painting Testers dark gloss red then misting a very light coat coat of Tamiya flat red over it. The slight grunge is from digging out a really worn and dirty sanding stick and rubbing it down to take some of the flatness off and leave some spots behind. It was an experiment that I think worked out well because the resulting finish is exactly what I was after.

The rather rough looking Bare Metal Foil doesn't look like that on the actual model of course. It is the magnifying effect of the camera. You can really see the existing yet subtle dirty sanding stick results on the quarter panel.

The silver rear looks just like the brushed aluminum panel on the actual model.

If you look really close you will see that the drivers side reverse light is missing the white lens. I never did find a replacement for the real thing back then but no doubt now they are all over Ebay.

Went to the flea market and scored big!
Got two large scale planes and a long out of production Tamiya kit for $75.
Be an easy $300 or more if I ordered online these since they are all older kits.

This is the way....

For my Birthday, and in honor of the new season of the Mandalorian, one of my sons gave me the Lego Star Wars Mandalorian helmet for my birthday. Put it together (well bags 1 and 2) while watching the first two episodes of the new season.

The photo progression are based on the sections in the kit. Each kit is divided into sections, each in their own bag. This helmet had 584 pieces in 5 bags.

These photos show the progression. I sort of wished the kit came with a solid exterior rather than all the pegs, but still I think it looks pretty good.

That is cool. How big is it? There is nothing for scale.
