OK,,, so going through some boxes in the closet and came across this. I feel quite comfortable saying I must of bought this 30+ years ago. I think it was shorty after I bought Niki's book. I've been dragging it around with me all these years. Some of it still wrapped in plastic. What's the likelihood that a part or two has slipped out of the box??
I think there a 962 Porsche model somewhere around as well. I haven't built a model in 35+ years and the last one was a flying model. Might have to give this a go at some point.

The box looks in good shape and most of the small stuff is still bagged so I bet it is all there. I have never seen one of these built. Although that is a 1976 only issue kit and is worth about $300 on the market right now!

Not 100% accurate but busied it up. Will get dirtied up a bit more when body on.
Proper fire wall made. Heater duct is a piece of a header with wire wrapped around it for "pleats" Shrouds all around so can see through. Rubber shroud gaskets are screen spline split into smaller strips. Long skinny stock 1966 battery swapped for normal one. Spare tire from spares box parts crammed in. Wires are... well wires. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not a plastic model, but I finally found a die cast version of the FR-S and bought it to display on my desk at work.
It's pretty accurate on the interior and exterior, but there's one problem: I can't quite figure out how to make the doors automatically slam shut by themselves.
