Like the look, just not sure I would be brave enough to do it myself mate. Kudos!

Lowering makes them looks visually larger obviously, so do you think a less aggressive stance like that provided by RCE springs (.8" drop) would be enough to get a similar look to yours?

Best,
Malcolm
I've had cars lately with stretched 19s and 20s and while they look AWESOME they are way more susceptible to damage from potholes, etc. Here in Portland the roads seem to be getting much worse quickly because there are no funds for repair. I want to actually enjoy driving my car and not cringe every time I hit a bump -- so although I would love to have the look of 18s or 19s, with the car slammed the 17s look really good. On top of that, tires are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP so I can burn through the rears without having to count the dollar signs.

Its all up to the individual, but I think my car is looking really sexy right now and I don't know if 18s would make that much of a difference.

Would you mind posting a couple pics from the side from a farther distance like 20ft or so? Thanks! Really feeling 17" now...

Why did you go with 215/40 over 45? Regardless, it sure beats the 50!

I have a buddy that works at a tire shop that specializes in used tires, so he sets aside the nicest sets for me. Since tire cost is no longer an issue, I can play with different sizes to see how they look. I like the look of the 40s in the front and the 50s in the rear... more of a muscle car look.

I kinda like the meaty look with thicker tires. Motorsport inspired almost...

The car looks great. After seeing your set up I'm considering going 17x9 +30 after I get my coil overs installed. 18s look too big by comparison. Not sure about the 50 section rear tires but the overall look is top notch. Two thumbs up for DD.

Thanks guys... as soon as the 50-series tires are burned off I am going back to 45-series in the rear. Keeping 40-series in the front, though. If you guys get these wheels make sure you post photos here!
