Like Yamanouchi from Mazda was talking about options to keep the rotary engine alive. Quoted: A range-extender rotary unit powered by hydrogen. Prototypes using the technology are already in use, where the rotary is used to produce electric power and steam is the only emission. Then he went on to say, "we can't rule out the possibility [of a rotary-powered MX-5]."
Whatever anyway..... JUST BE RWD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meanwhile, some manufacturers are dropping the 6's from their midsize...

Honda has followed Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Mazda into the toilet in my opinion.

Committee; "Yes very very nice product" "Yeah lets totally make the a new S2000 with a hybrid drive train" New guy: "That car sucked sales were terrible, it was heavier than mac truck, the fuel econ was not amazing, and its slower than a metro on one cylinder" Commitee: "Not true! people loved it new S2000 hybrid everyone get to work" I've not even looked at anything from Honda for awhile now, they don't do anything sporty anymore. Its a shame too, in the 90s they were pretty awesome. |

I know the designers from the 80-90's have gone off and retired but that's not to say that Honda could go back to their racing hoots heritage like how Toyota has recently done. Honda needs to bring back some soul and a perfect opportunity would be with a FR-S/BRZ competitor. I'm calling it now... if Honda was really devoted in making a RWD, 2+2/roadster, 2.0 4cyl, and under 30K that looked good, it would blow the doors off the Scion and Subaru to moon.

Last time Honda Japan listened to Honda North America they ended up with a shitty Civic. Wait until Honda Japan wakes up again.
