Why is nobody else making peak horsepower gains up top like that with varying headers? Including back to back JDL UEL vs 4-2-1 on the same car on the same dyno...

Our 91 does also suck. The 91 map with my JDL4-2-1 has an average of 5° advance less over the entire rev range compared to the 94 map.

Legitimate question, the 91 octane piss water pulling timing and fixing that is the only thing that makes sense. or was that 100% stock vs tuned with all of the mods? That *might* make more sense, but we still didn't really see any gains up top from the header. edit: really not trying to be a ****, for the record. The OTL header dyno was clearly just garbage with a really low baseline that made no sense, just wondering what caused the behavior you guys got that nobody else has gotten.

IMO yes, after it's learned. At least then we'd learn more about why OTL's baseline dyno was 20hp down on the same car...

vs. JDL Bolt-on + Tomei 60S + 91 Octane + EcuTek Tune Hard to say what other setups will do. Ultimately, the Dynapack we have is our tool to use to develop and understand how the FA24 responds to tuning. The EcuTek BETA is packed with lots of neat things, quite a bit more detailed and extensive than before.

Pardon my ignorance, as I've never actually used a dyno before....but is that dyno speaking some entirely different language than most? A stock FRS is 150whp? It's losing 25% of its power to drivetrain loss, wtf?
Why is this article below from people who've done over 1,000 FRS/BRZ/86 dyno runs stating that a GR86 makes 221.25whp SAE, (and is truly underrated making roughly 260hp at the flywheel) compared to the 187whp shown here. That's a big difference. Is the car underrated or not? https://dsportmag.com/the-cars/first...2-toyota-gr86/ |
