I'm sure it won't, but you'd remove the ceramic coating then reapply.

I find that less destructive than drilling holes

True, but it's a moot point now. As you can't install the OEM duckbill/tail without drilling holes in the existing spoiler. Well I guess I could cut the studs off. But I pick it and my wheels up today from being ceramic coated.

Sure you can..

(Start around 4 min mark to watch removal of the studs)

You'll notice in the post of mine you quoted I mentioned removing/cutting the studs.

You mentioned cutting them, yes, wasn't sure if you knew it wasn't that drastic, you can just pop them out..

Sorry, I agree, it is heinous, but that's the thing with auto enthusiasts, what looks good to one, looks like crap to another. I remember one of his first videos with the new BRZ when it was stock and he installed the Greddy Evo GT exhaust on it. It sounded SO GOOD..

But then he installed Catless header's and front pipe, and I no longer liked it. I pretty much have not cared for any of his mods since, but to each their own, he probably wouldn't like my choice in mods either..

Cheers all - I've had my 2023 Limited 6MT for a month now, and with 900 miles on it I'm almost out of 'rev-jail'. Immediate mods so far:

1. I sourced a genuine spare wheel/tire combination; new wheel from Subaru and spare tire from Tire Rack.

2. The active sound is turned off - dealer says it was a switch on the back of the ECU of all things.

3. I now have a "winter set" of 17x8 Enkei TS10s, in a -45 offset with 225/45/17 Continental Extreme Contact DWS06+. Standard 18s are hibernating in the garage.

4. MTEC shifter and clutch springs ready to install soon, and will fit a Sprint Booster to get rid of the lazy throttle pedal.

Pretty standard list for starter type stuff, won't go too much farther while the car is still under warranty.

Just keep in mind the manual says to keep the revs below 4k "unless in case of emergency."

Indeed, there have been a couple emergencies in that time
