I plugged the noise generator back in after I did my catback (Borla, probably as mild as it gets) and oddly it didn't sound near as bad once I had the additional rumble in the car to take the edge off its fakeness. It still bothered me after a little while so I disconnected it again but would 100% plug it in for a track day.

Yep, I also left the fake engine noise plugged in, it's that quiet! I did some aliexpress tips. I need to trim the pipes like 1/4" I think but they look pretty good and they don't rub on the bumper like the stupid oversized CSG tips.

That video makes it *very* clear how much difference the headers make in the mid range. Nice!

I really need to get a decent exterior video of my car, it's truly pretty nice.
That said, here's the header with stock catback. It's a bit "tinny" on cold start but settles out and quiets down really nicely.

Most of that rasp on startup can be killed by adjusting the cold start settings at least. Made a big difference on my gen 1 which my neighbors appreciate at 6am.

Yeah, we're hoping to address that on the gen 2, but you've got to play inside the parameters of emissions right now.

I'm curious to see how they will handle flex fuel kits after COBB's announcement and from the article I read Ecutek is owned by the same company as COBB.

They will just run it through CAN instead of the secondary O2. That way that part of the emissions system is not bypassed anymore.

Ideally, yeah. Depends how much of the ECU's code they can access and/or are willing to access

I was also curious if the use of the ethanol sensor for the flex fuel kit itself, would be against EPA regs.

You still need a table/tables you have to hijack to reference ethenol compensation.
