Forums like FT86 Club are another form of media to advertise on. Same as TV, Radio, or the paper, if you want to make money from advertising on it you need to pay. It costs money to produce these things, and in the case of FT86 Club, there are bandwidth and server fees to pay.

The nice thing about a forum is that vendors get a direct line of communication to their customers that isn't available through the other forms of media. Often sites like this have a much higher dollar return on investment than anything else. I don't think Grimmspeed's plate bracket group buy would have been even half as successful if they had tried to conduct it through a magazine.

I'm surprised this wasn't in place before now, to be honest.

Now FT86 club needs to come up with a way for members to donate. This is a good forum and I'd like to contribute.

Truer words. I've declined becoming a vendor and hope to be able to contribute/donate in some way.

As we grow as a community, there will be a point where a Premium/Donating member will be a no brainer sought after feature. But we are still a very young group, and we are taking it one step at a time.

Timing is everything, and when the timing is right for us to, it will be glorious.

But for now, let us bask in the awesomeness of Official Vendor Status.
