Lemay Museum (America's Car Museum) in Tacoma WA
Hey guys, I hit the new Lemay Museum next to the Tacoma Dome on Monday and I wanted to share some of the photos that I took. It's definitely worth your time to check it out... a LOT of impressive metal in there.
$5 to park and $15 to get in the door. ![]() One of FOUR floors full of 500+ cars ![]() Edsel!?! Wow. ![]() Nash Rambler ![]() Cool fins ![]() Ginormous headlights! ![]() Stately Rolls with a retractable driver's canvas roof ![]() Sweet hood ornament ![]() International truck from the early 1900s. ![]() They had the best ornaments back then ![]() This car is pure functional art. Wowee. ![]() Chi-Town Hustler ![]() Honda Super 90 (I had a black one exactly like this!) ![]() All Ferraris in this row! ![]() ![]() ![]() Jaguar XJ220 rebuilt in carbon fiber ![]() Christine! 1958 Plymouth Fury ![]() Best fins of all time: 59 Cadillac Coupe deVille ![]() ![]() Stanley Steamer... check out that engine! ![]() Coolest radiator ever! ![]() Driver sits in the sidecar! ![]() HUGE headlights on this old Rolls. ![]() I think I was conceived in an MGB-GT!

Wow, very cool...
interesting to see how much more technically inventive they were back then! Some really out of the box solutions in some of those vehicles. Now days everyone just uses basically the same parts bin list of parts thrown together in different sizes and configurations...

Went here 2 weekends ago. Very impressive museum. Looks like a LOT of money went into development and construction.
