If you right click on the .icc file, you should be able to select "Install Profile" similar to installing a new font, I think....

Can you post your emergency contact info for us? That rabbit hole is so deep I'm afraid we may never hear from you again.

TIL about agent orange. and the irony of recommending an asian use it to fix a weed problem

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agent_Orange

Quote:
Agent Orange was produced in the United States from the late 1940s and was used in industrial agriculture and was also sprayed along railroads and power lines to control undergrowth in forests. During the Vietnam War the U.S military procured over 20 million gallons consisting of a fifty-fifty mixture of 2,4-D and dioxin-contaminated 2,4,5-T. Nine chemical companies produced it: Dow Chemical Company, Monsanto Company, Diamond Shamrock Corporation, Hercules Inc., Thompson Hayward Chemical Co., United States Rubber Company (Uniroyal), Thompson Chemical Co., Hoffman-Taff Chemicals, Inc., and Agriselect.[4]

The government of Vietnam says that up to four million people in Vietnam were exposed to the defoliant, and as many as three million people have suffered illness because of Agent Orange,[5] while the Red Cross of Vietnam estimates that up to one million people were disabled or have health problems as a result of exposure to Agent Orange.

To eliminate existing unwanted vegetation, RoundUp (glyphosate) will kill most vegetation, except woody perennial types. For these, I suggest Crossbow (2,4-D)(2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid).

Be patient with these because it takes a week or two for them to work.

For the really tough stuff, use Agent Orange (2,4-5-T) (2,4,5-Trichlorophenoxyacetic acid). NO DO NOT USE THAT - you can't buy it anyway, unless you are a licensed PCO.

To prevent vegetation (from seeds) from coming back, I recommend Preen (trifluralin). For a longer residual pre-emergence herbicide, I recommend Casoron (dichlobenil).

Now, back in the day - THIS was how we controlled weeds -

TIL or more accurately was reminded, that when people complain about rough ride and road noise being excessive in these cars they should not be dismissed as overly sensitive. After driving around on Michigan roads for two days I am about ready to trade in for a nice soft Buick.

I swear my ears hurt more after a drive in my twin than in the Lotus. I know I've made mine louder with all the bolt-ons, but dam.

The review was at rtings.com and they're kind enough to give you the best calibration settings as the software and hardware require to do so can be quite costly.
Calibration depends on where the screen was calibrated.
Spend the money and get an actual calibration kit.

A bright ass room is fine if the screens in a bright ass room, not so good if the lights are off most of the time. Or if you get natural light most of the time.

I have yet to have seen a screen/tv match an actual calibration kit in terms of final quality.

But like they say on Rtings

Most TVs are able to achieve decent accuracy with only a few minor settings changes, most of which can be easily done by beginners at home, with no specialized equipment. For most people, having a TV professionally calibrated isn't necessary. In the end though, not everyone enjoys an accurate image, so you should adjust your TV to whatever looks best to you, adapted to your viewing conditions.
Working for News for almost half a decade makes you a bit anal when it comes to proper screen calibration.

TIL that Kewpie mayo is very yolky. Tastes like deviled egg filling. For sure it has some uses, and the piping bag style bottle is fun, but I don't see it replacing my Best Foods (Hellmann's) on a sammy any time soon, especially at $7.95 for a bottle as big as a beer.

I’m not a huge fan of it. I love the sesame dressing though.
