I did hit a turkey once about 25 years ago while on my way home from fishing in the Sierra foothills. It went flying over the truck, and before I could back up and get it, someone going the other way stopped and grabbed it. I was so going to smoke it for dinner.

We have an alpaca farm nearby. They like to hang out at the fence by the road.

TIL about pre and post calibration performance on monitors while reading a review for the LG Ultragear QHD (Costco). Im about to give the calibrated settings a try and see if there are any noticeable differences.
The review was at rtings.com and they're kind enough to give you the best calibration settings as the software and hardware require to do so can be quite costly.

When I was a lowly tech I was the guy that had to calibrate a marketing department's CRT monitors to Pantone specifications once per quarter. What a pain.... I also have calibrated some rear projection equipment, but never a flat screen type monitor. I have people for that now (radiology read stations)

Ahh, there is this thing called "ICC Profile" that you can apparently download, which I am assuming you load into a program so that your computer can use the same settings the reviewer had post calibration. But I have never seen an option on windows settings to load/save a profile. Any ideas?

Can you post your emergency contact info for us? That rabbit hole is so deep I'm afraid we may never hear from you again.
