The irony because alcohol isn't a drug.
The good news is coffee doesn't rate a mention.

They didn’t say that the beer was the drug just that the drugs weigh as much as the beer. It is apparently part of the U.S. weights and measures now.

A keg technically is. It is a half-barrel, with a barrel being part of the official weights and measures. It's like saying "half a gallon" or "half a liter".

Historically a beer barrel was a standard size of 36 US gallons (140 l; 30 imp gal), as opposed to a wine barrel of 32 US gallons (120 l; 27 imp gal), or an oil barrel of 42 US gallons (160 l; 35 imp gal).

These days, what is considered a "full keg" is 15.5 gallons.
