From the Border Security show U.S. customs.
“In total there was a total of 150 kilos of drugs. That is about the same weight as two full beer kegs”

Because everybody can relate to what a beer keg weights!

The irony because alcohol isn't a drug.
The good news is coffee doesn't rate a mention.

"In a 2010 study, experts ranked 20 legal and illegal drugs on 16 measures of harm to the user and to wider society. This includes health damage, economic costs, and crime. Overall, alcohol was the most harmful drug. MDMA (ecstasy), LSD and mushrooms were among the least harmful."

They didn’t say that the beer was the drug just that the drugs weigh as much as the beer. It is apparently part of the U.S. weights and measures now.

A keg technically is. It is a half-barrel, with a barrel being part of the official weights and measures. It's like saying "half a gallon" or "half a liter".

But they specifically used keg of beer as a weight measure.

This could be critical.

Historically a beer barrel was a standard size of 36 US gallons (140 l; 30 imp gal), as opposed to a wine barrel of 32 US gallons (120 l; 27 imp gal), or an oil barrel of 42 US gallons (160 l; 35 imp gal).

These days, what is considered a "full keg" is 15.5 gallons.
