Glove compartment power outlet

So did anyone discover this yet? I totally did not know that there was a power outlet inside the glove compartment until today when I was installing my knee pads.

PAIN IN THE ASS. Had to take out entire center console. Way too many screws and frustration. So much that I didn't take pics, broke the old hard knee pads, and scraped up my center consoles corners. I will do a write up with pics tomorrow. Sucks when you don't know exactly how the interior is put together. Might buy a new center console (yes I'm that picky).

By the way, the knee pads I got for the door don't have the speaker grills. The original ones have them permanently attached so there must be a separate speaker grill for the JDM knee pads. I got Luis @ Carson Toyota checking on that for me, since I got them from there. I'll keep everyone updated.

Ouch on the install. I know the feeling about being picky about that kind of stuff.

The 12V adapter in the glove box is great. I wired up the V1 to it, didn't even have to touch the fuse box!

Does anyone know if that outlet can be made hot all the time, or if it has a hot lead on it?
