Out of curiosity I looked up what what brussel sprouts are called in Brussels.
The site it took me to screams at you that they are called BrusselS even if it is just one sprout! Also the b must always be capitalized. ALWAYS!!

Those Belgians are fanatical about vegetables named after them.

I hated Brussels Spouuts moust of my life. Whatever my mom did to them, it should be illegal. Then, about 10 years ago at a friends house, I had some that were absoluutly delicious. All in the prep.

My latest thing the last couple years is pickled asparagus. I put jalapeno and sorano peppers in them. So good.

My wife made them last week. I definitely remember not liking them, but these were done up in some kind of olive oil and seasoning concoction and baked. Maybe I had them raw, which is gag-worthy. Baked and seasoned was actually not bad, but I only had half of one, and no, I won't finish the other half.
