1) As I said, this is a free mod that you are free not to do if/when you get a Gen 2. As such, it is a cost-justified mod in that it costs nothing. I have seen people spend a lot more money (in this case, that would be ANY money) chasing HP/TQ increases that amount to less.

2) And as I also said, where this mod MAY (or MAY not) become significantly more valuable is when it is added to a tune and headers/exhaust that flow better than stock.

Do you agree with both of these? If you do, then we are all

What I have learned is, unless it is contributing to the PEAK hp/tq comprising of 1-2000rpm’s throughout the entire range. It is useless. So the dip does not matter. It didn’t in 2013 either.

How do I thank my own post?

Not one person has said or even implied that.

We get it, you think you are a God because you took out the coal filter. Congrats, we will submit a Nobel Peace Prize for you.

You God-tier Gen 2 don't even have tuning options yet, let alone as robust an aftermarket for headers. So I guess you might as well ride that coal filter high horse.

Why are people arguing over a free mod that takes 1 minute? By removing an intake restriction, it can only help. Even if it's .1 horsepower to 5 or 10, it's free and takes one minute. No brainer IMHO.

Arguing over it is borderline insane.

It appears the arguing stemmed from Tcoat&Co launching a campaign insulting everyone’s intelligence by doubting our ability to do very basic math. It now seems to have a direct link to those suffering from Firstgenitis..

if its not needed in California, the strictest state when it comes to smog laws(i confirmed its not needed, as it's not mentioned on any emissions label for the vehicle) then it's fine to remove

IMO it started from absolutes being stated and the argument between 4hp vs 10. When people ask for clarification OP use the pretentious and always hated on, 'go find out yourself' in the 15min video instead of posting a TRDL.

Also claiming something like a filter will net 10hp is quite substantial given it's well known a drop in filter rarely nets that much. Even if it's the newer FA24, it's not space kraut magic, it's still NA. So I find it hard to believe 10hp is possible. 4, mayhaps if you put in a drop in filter, but not the charcoal filter.

Also, OP seems like the type to never want to accept they are wrong, so it's always fun to poke those type with a stick because that's what the internet does. Eventually they will make other pompous claims and no one will believe what they say. It's happened many a times. Still, very fun to read.

I have not doubted anybody's math nor have I resorted to insults like you and your one buddy have.
If anybody bothered to actually read what I said instead of just getting all butthurt I very clearly stated that it would certainly help and I would just cut it out.
All that I disputed from the start is the repeated statements that there is a 10HP gain to be had. The video doesn't even claim that beyond the deceiving title. A 10HP bump for a fraction of a second through one small space is not an overall gain.
Now what it DOES (on that particular dyno at any rate) do is eliminate the hp dip at that point. In fact the the only reason it even hits 10 instead of the 4 and 5 across the rest of the band is because it is filling that 4 or 5HP drop. He bloody well speaks to it but that is ignored.

I am beginning to seriously believe that the second gen cars attract a crowd that should be in BMWs since they have a superiority complex and take every statement as an insult.

I'm more incline to assume it's the Gen Z kids who can finally afford the cars. The things OP says are very similar to what I've seen my students say in the past and the newer generation of Soldiers I work with. They are quick to throw shade, but will assume anything is an insult.
