Have you ever looked down at your nuts and decided you didn't like them anymore? I had Gorilla nuts and got tired of using their special socket, especially since it always seemed to roll under the middle of the car. This weekend I switched to McGard. I like my nuts better now.

I've heard good things about Deez Nuts.

New Parts for my baby.

Parts I had from an old project. It required a special horn retainer that wasn't included in the kit or screws to mount the wheel.

SRS Light bypassed.

Some heatshrink to help the wire management.

All buttoned up.

I'm going to need a lever extension.

I went with a Momo Monte Carlo 350mm to keep it looking factory like an NSXR wheel. I suspect the 320mm wheel option would make hwy commutes touch sensitive due to the smaller diameter.

Overall, I think it look sharp. Just gotta torque everything down and adjust the horn but it works, and the Scion Badge is gone.

-Cheers.

called the dealer asking for a crank seal, had the parts guy tell me these boxers dont have them, i asked him to confirm and I spoke with the service manager who also told me they dont have a crank seal...yikes. Im very glad i opted to not have them do the recall for the valve springs haha

Put on the track tires and brakes for an SCCA HPDE tomorrow. Rebuilt the driver's side axle last weekend.

Verus wheel deflectors

I installed Verus Wheel deflectors. Overall, I pleased with the quality of the product. They come with 2 extra pieces depending on whether you have a front splitter (which I do). If you don't have a splitter, the deflector is installed using 3 of the 4 original plastic fasteners that held the oem deflector. Even with supplied washers, this would be flimsy since the fender liner to which it is attached is very thin material. With the splitter option, the deflector is bolted to the splitter and is much more solid.

I still may reinforce the inner attachment points since it wouldn't take much of a hit from road debris to knock it loose.

Refreshed the 3 year old caliper paint. Inner part of the caliper was still nice and shiny.. road salt and debris killed the exposed bits.

Aftermarket steering wheel part 2

Had to get a wheel correction because no one likes a crooked steering wheel. Installed a turn signal extension so it's more street friendly.
