i usually run the humidifier for a few hours, crank up the heat, and sit on the couch with my feet in a tub of pigs blood. for the full rambo experience.

I get my Vietnamize buddies to come over, scream in my face and beat me with bamboo. Really gets ne into the right feel.

It was the Soviet Union (not Russia) and they were there for 11 years. The invasion was a compete success. Holding onto it was a totally different matter since by the late 80s the Soviet Union was falling apart and really just didn't care anymore. They weren't pushed out so much as just gave up when it wasn't worth their while anymore.
Bin Laden wasn't even IN Afghanistan until 1988 when it was almost all done. He sat in Pakistan and sold weapons' and mercenaries to Afghanistan while becoming very rich.
