Found my old gps unit I used to use hunting about a lifetime ago. Works, but won't communicate and pick up any satellites. Just keeps searching. Did they change something over the years?

the internet says it could take a while if it hasn't been used in a while, but will pick it up eventually:

It's also possible it's out of synch with the current GPS week number (which rolls over every 19.6 years). We just went through that not too long ago. If it wasn't programmed for it, it will fail.

Most of the time I have 3 of the 8 turned off, but its nice to be able to individually adjust the light by turning some on or off depending on where I'm working. Mine aren't hardwired though. I used a ceiling three prong plug outlet in one of the spots the previous Halogen ones were, then daisy chained all of them from there.

We have a bunch of these. Bright with a good color temp. Not fancy. Perfect garage fixtures, IMO

It's a really old pic. I haven't seen my garage floor in years.

Yep. I turned it on this morning and let it run. It got 3 satellites at about 2 this afternoon. Now I have to crack the manual to change the year from 2002.
