Loud noise when taking hard left turns

I'm hearing a loud noise coming from the front when I take hard left turns. The sound correlates to the engine rpms, the higher the rpms, the louder the sound. I already checked my fender liners and suspension parts, nothing seems to be rubbing.

I believe the culprit is the JDL 4-2-1 EL header I have. I think it's rubbing against the skid plate because when I removed the skid plate, I saw some marks on the header itself (it has cerakote coating.) I already tried hammering out the skid plate but that didn't seem to do anything. I'm not sure if I need to hammer it out more or what. Anyone have any ideas?

The car is still a daily so stiffer motor mounts would get annoying. I think I’ll try to run an event without a skid plate and see if that does anything

Just a note.. that skidplate also works to direct air through the engine bay. take it off and you'll reduce airflow through the radiator and possibly cause a cooling issue. YMMV.
They only take a couple minutes to remove so you could pull it off for a single session and see if it goes away.

another option is to space the whole thing down with some longer bolts and washers between the plate and the chassis. it'll be fiddly to get them all in there, but it's an option to consider.

Thanks that’s good to know. I didn’t think to try spacing out the skid plate, I’ll give it a try once I figure out what size bolts I need.

Bunch of M8 and some M6. start around 25mm long.

the other thing would be to just keep clearancing the plate. pull it off and put it on some soft ground (dirt or grass) or over a sandbag and then start banging away at the spot where it's rubbing. you'll pound some clearance into the plate without deforming everything everywhere.

the other thing that comes to mind is the overpipe-- I've heard of it rubbing on the subframe in some cases. you might be able to loosen the bolts and rotate it a little to give it more clearance to the chassis. don't recall if that was mentioned in this thread already, but it's something to look at.

Engine mounts-- I have some Megan racing mounts in my car and it's really not annoying at all-- I don't notice any nasty engine vibes or cabin noise from the engine. I also don't have any exhaust rub issues or anything. Then again, mine's a stripped race car and every joint is solid; I drive with earplugs and expect vibrations in the cabin cause race car so what I may just consider race car noises may be a total no-go for a street car.
