Should probably clarify, we decided to re-paint all 3 bedrooms with possibly down the line redo the ceiling paint and the main bathroom. That's quite a bit of painting, so maybe investing in the spray gun wouldn't be a bad idea. I see there is a pattern on the boss lady about wanting to re-paint areas in the house every year.

I think Airless spray equipment is the best for houses.

The thing with spraying inside is you have to mask off everything and you end up with a lot of paint "mist" in the air that needs to settle. So before you do that, think about how much time that would take vs. rolling with a drop cloth. If the inside is already finished I usually hand roll it.

Airless is the way for paint sprayers.

I wouldn't recommend spraying indoors. Too easy to get paint everywhere.

Everyone I know has this one or bigger. You have to clean them immediately or you end up plugging up the insides.

Not only that, all the mist settles into really fine dust that gets everywhere. Have to be so careful with it. I don't like spraying indoors either even when it is unfinished it sucks. It's a respirator job.

The house doesn't have good ventilation as it is, 2 of 3 rooms don't have a ceiling fan and only one window. They are pretty standard size, I think 10x12 maybe if not a bit bigger. I think the good ole fashioned way would be enough. I just hate painting and wanted something faster. But seems it would require a lot more prep work, more equipment, and me venturing into something I have very little experience with, if not none. I've become more proficient with roller painting, so I'll just stick with that.

If you use it right there is almost no overspray, mist or dust at all. The tiny bit of mist it does put into the air just needs a quick sweep up when you are done.
Not real sure exactly how some people are using them (if they actually have) where they are getting all this dust and overspray. It is NOT like spray painting.

All the precision of a roller with the speed and ease of a sprayer.

That's what I was going to suggest, I've used one in the past and it makes quick work of a room with the same minimal prep you would do with a standard roller and brush.

Get the right mix and distance from the surface and it as very very little clean up.

I have never used one of these but have seen them used and it is very quick. Half the time using a roller is getting more paint out of the tray and that eliminates it.

I had one like that and found it works pretty good if you have a lot of rooms to paint. For just a few rooms, I suggest the old fashioned roller way.
