Fast sweepers when I can keep the throttle pinned while running at the limits of adhesion with only small corrections to the wheel.

Bonus points if I end up with similar front/rear slip angles putting the car into neutral 4-wheel drift.

It was best because it was the most challenging, you hit it just right at speed and it was like catching the perfect wave, hitting the best drive, kissing the girl you love for the first time. Awesome!

there's one just like you describe at the Glen. After you exit the Bus Stop you're in turn five, sometimes called the Outer Loop. You enter about mid track into a high-speed right-hand downhill and you hold the wheel just slightly cocked to the right all the way down that hill. At the bottom you have what's called the Chute, or Laces of the Boot. That's a high-speed left-hand sweeper where you can get away with a late apex. I had an exciting moment there once. In the middle of that left-hander the valve stem blew out of my right front tire. The grass is just about the width of the car between the track and the armco. I managed to get it stopped right there without skinning anything up.

I found this track map and description from my old NNJR PCA chapter. It's a good primer for anyone intending to run the Glen.

https://nnjr-pca.com/wp-content/uplo...rn-by-Turn.pdf

The Bus Stop was a good addition because so many people got in trouble in T5 after a long fast straight. NNJR usually ran the Glen twice a year both three-day events. PCA zone one had another three-day event, usually over Fourth of July, so we got about nine days a year at the Glen.

I noticed that too and thought it was strange. Up here you need at least a check ride to sign you off that you are safe to drive solo.

Among the ones I've driven in real life, it's definitely T6 at Laguna Seca.
Camber, pitch change, dip at the apex, long uphill straight to climb up against if you mess up the corner and lose the momentum...
As it's 70+ mph even on GT Radial SX2's, my heart always misses a bit when I approach it.

Masta Kink at Spa, old track.
A mile and a half flat out leading into it and a mile after.

Quote:
The Masta Kink is still talked about in hushed tones.
Farm houses lined the track on either side of this fearsomely fast left-right
that was approached at full speed and taken at barely abated velocity.
Cars would drift through here at around 180mph.

Ickx in an Alfa Romeo T33TT/12, about 200 mph through the Masta Kink at Spa

My personal fav, is Road America turn 13. It's flat (in a 86), blind exit and if you get far enough into the apex curbing it bounces the car for a slight drift. It got less fun after adding aero.

If anybody ever figures out 17 at Sebring please let me know because I sure haven't. Every time I enter 1 at Sebring I think I'm going to die, but when I clear the wall and get a look down the track I always say to myself I could've gone faster. 2 is just a little kink, and you can go deep into 3 before braking because the track surface is a little uphill.

After a weekend at Laguna Seca I still felt like I was leaving a lot on the table in T6. And it's an important one to get right if you want to minimize lap time.
Too bad so few of you guys know the Colorado tracks. There are some pretty cool turns here. One of them is at La Junta, going 100 mph while at the edge of lateral grip. Then, mid-turn, you hit an old runway that crosses the track. It is elevated, essentially forming a jump. If done right you can get airborne. Then, as soon as you land you need to threshold brake to make the following turn. It is, um....exciting.
I think more of you guys need to make guest appearances in Rocky Mountain 86CUP.

Pacific Raceway is kinda like that too, but not at that speed. You come in on the final turn and onto the front straight under acceleration and it is really bumpy. The inside wall after claims cars.

Not at these gas prices.

My experience is limited but since I live near Mid-Ohio my favorite is probably Madness.

There is the T5-T6 at Pacific that is tricky and fun with some elevation and high curbs. T5-T9 at ORP CCW is fun as some of it weaves back and forth up the sides of a ravine, and T9 is at the top of a hill and blind. I also really love T1-T5 at The Ridge as it is fun to carry the speed through it and you go up and over a hill.

Came to post this. T2-T5 at the ridge.
