Been Chasing this Clunk for a Year

I call it the parallel parking clunk. Only hear it at very low/no speed when the wheels are turned all the way. Tough to tell if its coming from a specific side/both/the center

Replaced the struts and mounts with Bilstein B6s (which fixed some other issues)
Adjustable whiteline endlinks
Lubed the sway bar bushings

Any ideas? Steering rack?

Sounds like it's hitting the fender liner to me, like plastic slapping back against something. Check that you aren't missing any pop clips. Does it make that sound on jack stands?

Once the load is remove the popping stops. There are some scrapes on the firewall behind the strut/end link but for the life of me couldn't figure out what might be rubbing. Old end links didn't have any rubbing damage to them either

Maybe try jacking the car up, putting jack stands underneath it, and having a friend turn the wheels while you listen from underneath?

Strut bearing or ball joint. Get your stethoscope out.

Long shaft screwdriver poked into a suspect part with your ear against the handle. Makes a good stethoscope
