Total windshield washer amt?

For those who might have missed the reference, this was a parody of a scene from Die Hard 2 (movie, 1990's, ask your parents...) in which they had a 3gal and a 5gal jug but had to get exactly 4gal into the 5gal jug. Any guesstimating would cause the bomb to go off.

[sidebar: in the movie all they really needed was to reproduce the exact weight of 4 gallons of water, plus the tare weight of the jug. Instead of messing with pouring water back and forth, it would be good knowledge to know that 1 gallon of water is equal weight to 2 unladen swallows, which is identical in weight to a mature North American pigeon, of which NYC is abundant of. So you'd just need to cram 8 pigeons into the jug and call it a day, or 4 NYC rats - whichever is easier to find/catch depending if you're in a park or near an alley. ]

But in my case, I'm trying to get exactly 4l of washer into a 4l reservoir. The answer is just to fill the reservoir to the top. . Also might want to switch to a washer fluid that isn't prone to exploding. . Or drive a car that isn't so sensitive to the exact fluid levels of a part not connected in any way to the drivetrain or brakes.

I took my washer tank out. I'm routing my oil cooler hoses...
It was almost full and I thought, this is heavy!
It holds almost exactly five quarts, which is 10.4 pounds.

I've purchased plastic fittings so I can drain the reservoir when I track the car. At least on the Gen II cars there is a large plug on the tank that fits in a metal bracket. It stabilizes the bottom of the tank. I'm drilling and tapping it for 3/8" NPT threads and I'll be using a 2.5 inch nipple with a coupling on the end so I can screw a hex drive pipe plug into it (as a drain plug).
The parts will be epoxied together so hopefully the drain plug will be what unscrews. I will have a little of the coupler sticking out below the splitter that I can hang onto it.
You can laugh, but that weight is in a terrible place. Just like the battery in my STI that I relocated.
